Bosch GO 3.6V electric screwdriver review

I saw this Bosch Go 3.6V Cordless Screwdriver and I thought: I must have it! Bosch is a well-known brand. The Bosch GO 3.6v is an electric screwdriver that comes in hand with several DIY projects. One of his features is that it charges over USB.

Expectations

A nice compact tool for the lightweight DIY jobs I thought. But is it more than just a nice gadget?

Build Quality & Design

The Bosch Go 3.6V Cordless Screwdriver feels solid and has a kind of rubber finish that feels nice in your hands (and maybe protects the device a bit agains bumps and scratches). Because it can be charged with a micro USB cable (that I have lying around almost everywhere) you can charge it without the need for special chargers and cables.

Usability

It is not that powerful like my Makita, but you can’t expect for this price. I must say because of the dimensions and weight it’s more suitable for many tasks than my heavy Makita screwdriver. especially for adjusting the hinges in closets. 

The way you operate the screwdriver is different than most other screwdrivers: you set the torque and push it to the screw. There is no button you only have to push. But first, you need to set the right torque.
The torque setting has 6 levels:
The first one is for small screws into soft surfaces.
2, 3 and 4 are for standard screws.
5 and 6 is for big screws on hard surfaces.

Everyone I know has several USB cables and chargers. So charging this screwdriver will not be a problem. This is a nice feature that makes it very usable.

If you are looking for smaller bits and you don’t need the power you can look for xiaomi screwdrivers.

Pro / Cons of the Bosch Go 3.6V Electric Screwdriver

• Nice dimension and weight

cons

• Not really cheap.
• Only 1 bit included.

Verdict

A very handy portable screwdriver from a good brand. A fair prise if you ask me! I recommend it for DIY projects or simple tasks as adjusting hinges.
