If the supplier states that the product you just bought is waterproof or water resistant. Stop one moment before taking a shower with it. That’s because the term water resistant does not mean it is totally resistant to all kinds of water intrusion.
Most of the waterproof products come with an IP Code, International Protection Marking. This indicates how well protected the product is against dust and water. So you should check the meaning of this code before taking your new action camera on a diving trip.
A rating of IP68 means the device is totally dust and water resistant. IP67 is almost as water resistant, but it will only service an accidental submersion in water.
